The Catholic Daughters of America (CDA) was formed over 100 years ago as a sister organization of the Knights of Columbus. Saunders Co. Branch #1956 is dedicated to Our Lady of Peace. They hold an annual auction to raise funds for charities, administer scholarship programs, hold a toy drive for Christmas, sponsor a yearly art and poetry contest for grade school students, and strive “to be helping hands where there is pain, poverty, sorrow or sickness.” CDA forms an honor guard, leads the Rosary, etc. for deceased members and immediate family members’ funerals.
Dues: $12 per year
