Latin Mass/Extraordinary Form

St. Wenceslaus parish in Wahoo has a Latin Mass at Noon each Sunday. The term “Latin Mass” is frequently used to denote the Tridentine Mass, that is, the Roman Rite liturgy of the Mass celebrated in Latin and in accordance with the successive editions of the Roman Missal published between 1570 and 1962.

“I am of the opinion, to be sure, that the old rite should be granted much more generously to all those who desire it. It’s impossible to see what could be dangerous or unacceptable about that.”  –Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger (1997), Salt of the Earth
